Research on frits and ecology

Mefrit ranks among a limited number of international producers that do not use lead oxides for production of ceramics as well as enamel frits, and thus we protect not only the environment and the health of its employees, but also ensures safe processing in our customers’ plants.

		Environment The company Mefrit, Ltd., has continuously paid attention to environmental protection. The control of all obligations connected with the environmental protection and working conditions represents the main activity of the sector of services, which was founded in 1998 – 1999.

Waste management

The process of sorting and waste disposal is carried out according to directives approved by the district authority. We succeeded in decreasing the amount of hazardous wastes by consistent sorting of wastes.

Air pollution control

The air pollution emission limits are now under control due to completion of the filtration station for the combustion products of melting furnaces. The melting process based on burning oxygen and natural gas decreased considerably the amount of emissions. According to law, the air pollution control is described in the “List of Technical and Operational Parameters of the Pollution Source” and in “Production Records”. The amount of emissions is controlled by regular measurements by an authorized laboratory.

Water pollution control

Regular wastewater analyses indicate lower values of water pollution compared to permitted values. The industrial water circulates in a closed system of pipelines supplied by water from our own wells.
